Earlier this week, Kay Burley issued an apology for breaking coronavirus rules for hrt 60th birthday and was absent from her show yesterday.
The presenter admitted that a call of nature saw her go into a restaurant after visiting a “Covid compliant” eatery.
Today, it was reported her Sky News co-stars including, Beth Rigby, had been pulled from air.
Sky News editor Adam Boulton retweeted a viewer’s message blasting the rule-breakers as “morons”. The tweet read: “Look at the state of Sky News.
The morons spent all summer preaching to us and now look at them!
“After illegally going on a bender, they were going to go to a hospital to put lives at risk!”
Kay and nine others are believed to have celebrated her birthday at Century Club in Soho, London.
The group then reportedly went on to visit a private restaurant, Folie, before four people went back to Kay’s West London home.
After the news broke, the news anchor was replaced on her show by Sarah Hewson.
Reports have now claimed she won’t return to hosting her Sky News show until 2021.
