Movies and TV shows that were in production around the world had to be shut down during the pandemic, but it’s time for some of them to resume shooting.
It was just announced that the Avatar sequels will resume shooting in New Zealand next week and producer Jon Landau has shared a new photo from set.
“Our #Avatar sets are ready — and we couldn’t be more excited to be headed back to New Zealand next week. Check out the Matador, a high speed forward command vessel (bottom) and the Picador jetboat (top) — can’t wait to share more,” Landau wrote on Instagram along with the photo.
James Cameron is working on four upcoming movies in the Avatar franchise right now. Avatar 2 is scheduled to come out in theaters in December 2021.
