Britney Spears delighted her fans as she teased new music while hitting out at her family a month after her conservatorship was lifted.
The 40 year old has frequently spoken out against her family on social media after a judge in Los Angeles ended the conservatorship set up by her father Jamie Spears 13 years ago.
And The Stronger hitmaker continued to speak her mind on Wednesday as she shared a short clip of herself showcasing her impressive singing abilities.
Showing off her toned abs in a plunging pink crop top, Britney flaunted her vocal range before vowing to be her "own cheerleader" after "what her family tried to do to her three years ago."
Britney, who has not released an album since 2016, added in her lengthy caption that she wanted to root for herself because "God knows they [her family] weren't".
She continued: "So I just read up on my self and this is what I found:
"Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning pop icon Britney Spears is one of the most successful and celebrated entertainers in pop history with nearly 100 million records sold worldwide.
"In the U.S. alone, she has sold more than 70 million albums, singles and songs, according to Nielsen Music."
Britney continued to list her achievements: "Spears has sold 33.6 million albums in the U.S. and ranks as the 18th-best selling album artist in the Nielsen era.
"Her songs have drawn 25 billion in cumulative radio airplay audience and 2.6 billion on-demand U.S. audio and video streams combined and she's sold 39.8 million singles (36.9 million via downloads)."
Britney added: "No … I'm not auditioning for anything !!!! I'm reminding myself and the world of who I am !!!! Yes … I will be my own cheerleader … why ????
"I'm here to remind my white "classy" family that I haven't forgotten what they did to me nor will I ever forget !!!!"
She then cheekily teased her new music, concluding:" 'Pssss new song in the works … I'm gonna let you know what I mean !!!!!"
Britney's fiancé, Sam Asghari, commented on the post, writing: "I fn love this soo much."
Britney had been under a conservatorship since 2008, when her father Jamie took over power of her finances, career decisions and personal decisions – including visits with her sons Sean and Jayden.
After the conservatorship was lifted last month, Britney thanked her fans and those who supported the Free Britney movement.
"The conservatorship has been terminated!" she wrote. "Good God I love my fans so much it's crazy. I think I'm gonna cry the rest of the day. Best day ever," she wrote.
