TV and radio star Carol Vorderman has taken to social media to debut her new hairdo online. The 60-year-old has gone blonder ahead of the 2021 Pride of Britain Awards.

Carol snapped a selfie in the hairdressers and posted it on Instagram, before asking her 178,000 followers what they thought of her new look.

The presenter’s naturally brunette tresses are now a much lighter caramel shade.

She wore her long hair loose in a straight style in her snap, posing alongside her stylist.

“Gone blonder with @kalas_hair_boutique today,” Carol wrote beside her upload.

“Do you like this colour?” the mum-of-two asked.

She cheekily gave the options: “Yes Carol it’s lovely” or “Yes Carol – love it”.

Her next post showed the results of her poll.

“So that’s 47 + 53 = 100% of you who loved my hair,” she summed up, adding a laughing and thumbs up emojis.

Carol was later seen enjoying a walk along Bristol Harbour in the Autumn sunshine.

She took in the sights and stopped for an alfresco cup of tea before it started raining.

The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star was not put off by the weather, as she was wearing her favourite walking jacket, so just put her hood up to protect her new tresses.

Earlier in the day, Carol told fans that she had found her beloved coat in the back of the cupboard.
