Chase Rice and Florida Georgia Line dropped their new single “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen.” on Monday.
The track is their first collaboration since writing hit country song “Cruise” 10 years ago.
The beer-drinking song was co-written by Rice and Florida Georgia Line producer Corey Crowder before the coronavirus pandemic hit the world.
It’s the perfect country song title, according to Rice. “I love the song. I love drinkin’ beer, I love god, I love hanging out with buddies, I love sitting around the fire and getting deep in conversation. I’ve done a lot of that this year so it’s the perfect song for the time,” he told ET Canada about the new track.
Speaking to Sounds Like Nashville, Rice said that for him, this year has been “drinking a lot of beer, hanging around a lot of fires, having deep conversations with people, whether it’s about God or not, and getting to know people.”
“We are so excited to be on this jam with our boy Chase. We’ve dreamed of being on the radio together ever since we were roommates 10 years ago,” said FGL’s country music duo Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley.
