"Strictly made Alex a household name so she's instantly recognisable, and Sam is a big name on Corrie so they probably knew they'd be spotted out together but didn’t seem to mind at all.
"They laughed and flirted with each other and had a great time before heading off looking very cosy. They're clearly both happy."
Sam has played Ken Barlow's scheming grandson Adam on the hit ITV soap since 2004, but took an eight year break between 2008 and 2016.
Meanwhile, former footballer Alex won the hearts of the nation on Strictly last year, and has been tipped to become the new host of A Question Of Sport following Sue Barker's departure.
Gary Lineker appeared to let slip that Alex had landed the gig earlier this week, as he tweeted: "Congratulations and good luck to @AlexScott on being the new host for Question of Sport.
"Smart, knowledgeable and perfectly qualified for the role," he continued before referencing racist remarks Alex had received amid the rumours.
