David Bowie’s spacesuit is expected to fetch more than £81,000 at auction.

The iconic costume worn by the late singer in his 1980 video for Ashes to Ashes is among the high profile lots fans can get their hands on via Propstore Auction later this year, with the entire sale expected to bring in more than £1.5million.

As well as Bowie’s spacesuit, lots include a custom silver sparkle Gibson Les Paul Florentine guitar used by Noel Gallagher, which is expected to go for around £510,000, a top worn by Rihanna in her 2016 Work music video for £8,000-£12,000, and a pair of boots worn by Mel B on a Spice Girls tour, which she has signed, for £2,000-£3,000.

The auction will launch in November and interested collectors can place their bids online, in person, or over the phone.

Earlier this month, the Space Oddity hitmaker’s estate launched an NFT art sale to raise money for CARE, an international humanitarian charity fronted by his widow, Iman.

Bowie on the Blockchain featured work paying tribute to the late singer from nine digital artists – including one of Pussy Riot’s singers – which will be released for sale on September 13.

Ryan Foutty from NFT marketplace OpenSea said: ‘David Bowie is an icon and a trailblazer in every way, and we’re honoured to partner with his team.

‘This incredible collection brings together some of the most groundbreaking NFT artists with Bowie artefacts to bring a new generation of fans together in web 3 (the concept of token-based web trading.)”

And Andrew Keller, co-founder of the project’s partner We Love The Arts, said: ‘This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to engage with the Bowie estate as well as this group of artists, all of whom I have immense respect for.

Personalised: The pop singer has signed autographed the platform Buffalo boots, favoured by the Spice Girls, in green marker pen, with the footwear expected to sell for £2,000-£3,000

Movie magic: Whitney Houston’s Bodyguard character Rachel Marron’s screen-matched Complete Hero Queen of the Night Costume is estimated at £40,000-£60,000

Fashion forward: John Lennon’s custom-tailored Madame Tussauds suit is estimated to sell at £30,000-£50,000

Pop legend: Michael Jackson’s photo-matched studded leather bracer is expected to go for £30,000-50,000

‘I hope that this collection we have created simultaneously serves to record the ethos of Bowie on the Blockchain, as well as spotlight a wildly talented group of artists and an exciting new space for the arts.’

The artists contributing to the Bowie on the Blockchain’project are Defaced, FEWOCIOUS, Glam Beckett, JAKE, Jonathan Wolfe, Lirona, Nadya Tolokonnikova – from Russian protest group Pussy Riot – Osinachi and Young and Sick.

Nadya, 32, said about David’s influence on her life and work: ‘David Bowie to me is a Platonic ideal of an artist – charismatic, passionate, imaginative, magnetic af.

Piece of history: Elvis Presley’s signed gun license application is estimated to sell for £40,000-£60,000

Plans: Dave Grohl’s handwritten set list from Nirvana’s Nevermind Tour with a ticket stub is expected to sell for between £5,000 and £7,000

Beatle mania: A signed picture of legendary pop band The Beatles is also one of the lots in the auction

Worn: Sir Paul McCartney’s photo-authenticated Morecambe & Wise Show striped blazer is estimated to sell for £25,000-£35,000

‘He always puts art x curiosity x subversion over profit, a magician and a muse. 

‘I’m in awe and will always be. David Bowie is my dad.’

It’s not the first time Bowie material has been traded as NFTs, with photographs and unheard audio also previously released online.

Tickets: A collection of ticket stubs for Black Sabbath gigs are estimated to go for between £300 and £500
