Ant McPartlin, 46, and Declan Donnelly, 46, have posted a video update on Instagram to let I’m a Celebrity fans know when they can expect the show to resume. The ITV show has been off air for two days after the set was badly damaged by Storm Arwen.

The site was quite badly damaged.

Ant and Dec posted the update in view of their 4.4 million followers.

They both penned: “Hello and welcome to we’re celebrities and get us in there!”

Dec continued: “I’ve got an update.

“The site was quite badly damaged during the storm and they are in there, working round the clock to try and get it back up and running and up to speed so we can get back on air as quickly as humanly possible.

“But, we don’t know when that’s going to be, just yet.”

Ant replied: “Fingers crossed!”

The presenters then spoke about what they have been getting up to since having a break from the show, with Dec having a go to cook this evening.

The caption of the video reads: “More news from the kitchen!

“The @imacelebrity team are working round the clock to get us back on your tellies ASAP!

“Meanwhile we hope you’re enjoying a better meal than a crisp sandwich.”

The poor weather conditions and Storm Arwen have led to the celebrities to be evacuated from the castle and the show to be off air for the last two days.

According to The Sun, the weekend weather has left Gywrch castle “looking like a war zone”, with pop up studios destroyed.

Repairs are needed to roofs and canopies before Ant and Dec would be able to host a show.

An ITV spokesperson has said: “While we get the production base back up and running after suffering technical issues due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle.”

This comes days after Richard Madeley, 65, was taken to hospital after feeling unwell, leading him to have to quit the show for breaking Covid bubble rules.

The TV host insisted he was fine but was said to be “gutted” when left with no choice but to quit permanently for breaking the Covid bubble.

The weather is not expected to improve with a predicted 700 mile Arctic weather front to sweep over the castle in the coming days.

Snow is forecast at the end of the week with temperatures as low as minus 5C, making it colder than Moscow.

The Met Office have warned of another storm, Storm Barra, not leaving fans to believe the show will be back on anytime soon.
