Dr Alex George finds comfort in ‘new girlfriend’ Belle Francis following death of brother Llŷr

Dr Alex George is thought to be finding comfort in a new love following the tragic death of his younger brother Llŷr.

The 30 year old split from his ex-girlfriend Amelia Bath last month but it seems he has already moved on after being seen cosying up with a new love interest in London.

Love Island star Alex headed to a pub in the capital with PR girl Belle Francis and was seen leaning in for a smooch with the brunette beauty.

Alex dressed down for the supposed date, donning a plain black t-shirt and a matching pair of shorts, teaming the look with a white pair of trainers.

Belle looked stylishly casual in a plain black dress which she, too, modelled with a pair of white sneakers.

In photos obtained by MailOnline, the pair are seen chatting away over drinks while soaking up the sun outside the pub.

They then head inside to the restaurant area where they were spotted enjoying a kiss.


Alex announced his split from Amelia just five weeks ago, writing on Instagram: "Guys just want to let you know, Amelia and I have decided to go our separate ways.

"As you know, we've been apart for most of lockdown which has been hard on us both and we both agree this is for the best.

"We will remain good friends and I have nothing but respect for Amelia. Thank you for the love and support always."

Just days later, the A&E doctor returned to social media to break the news that his 19 year old brother Llŷr had died following a battle with mental illness.

He said at the time: "I can’t believe I am actually writing this post. I have lost my beautiful little brother to mental health.

"I love you so much Llŷr. The kindest and most caring soul. I was so proud of you starting medical school next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor.

"We are hurting so bad. No words can explain. As a family we are devastated. We love you and miss you so much. Please rest in peace x Our boy."

Hours before being spotted on his date, Alex revealed he would be returning to London after spending time with his family in Wales, writing: "It is now time for me to head back to London, to reflect, rebuild and grow. I already have a fire in me, things I want to tackle and change, especially when it comes to mental health.

"For now I just want to say thank you to all of you who have supported me. The kindness has been truly overwhelming. Please know it has helped me no end and continues to get me through each day."
