Giggs blocked by Piers Morgan over Harry and Meghan privacy debate

Giggs appears to have been blocked by Piers Morgan on social media as the debate surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continues to gather momentum.

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers had earlier branded Harry and Meghan’s pregnancy announcement ‘cheesy’ as the royal couple released a photo of them sat under a tree with the former Suits actress cradling her baby bump.

Since then, it’s been revealed that Meghan and Harry will sit down with their close friend Oprah Winfrey for an interview about how they’ve been coping with life since quitting as working senior royals.

Reacting to Piers’ comments, rapper Giggs tweeted: ‘Piers ,bro, please Let it go man,she wasn’t interested in you man. Plenty more fish in the sea is a real thing, the quicker you try to move on and heal the better for your confidence Right now you looking like Woogie in “something about Mary”.’

It doesn’t appear that Piers has responded to Giggs but the rapper shared a screenshot showing that he was blocked from viewing the TV presenter’s tweets.

While Piers didn’t address Giggs’ comments, he has defended his argument in the Meghan and Harry privacy debate to other followers.

‘We all just wish they’d shown the Queen more respect,’ the presenter told one Twitter user.

He added in another tweet: ‘People who really want to be private don’t release intimate baby bump snaps to the same papers they profess to despise, then announce they’re doing a 90-minute special with Oprah…’

Piers had earlier shared his thoughts on Harry and Meghan’s pregnancy photo shoot and tweeted: ‘Breaking: Harry & Meghan have announced they’re pregnant and released this cheesy photo of themselves to ensure the media gives the story about their private life more prominence – in their latest courageous effort to stop the same media focusing on their private life.’

The presenter was once good friends with Meghan but their friendship evaporated after she began dating Harry.

After quitting working royal life, Meghan and Harry now reside in Los Angeles with their one-year-old son Archie.
