Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born on Feb. 5, 1985, in Madeira, Portugal, to parents Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and José Diniz Aveiro. He has one older brother, Hugo, and two older sisters, Elma and Liliana Cátia.
Ronaldo was introduced to the game of soccer at an early age by his father, who worked as an equipment manager for a local boy’s club. José got to see his son become a star but did not witness all of his achievements because in 2005 he died from liver complications related to alcoholism.
When Ronaldo was a teenager he was diagnosed with a “racing heart.” The prognosis meant that he would have to give up playing the sport he loved. After numerous medical examinations, it was decided that Ronaldo would have surgery to correct the irregular beat.
“His heart raced a lot when he wasn’t running,” his mother recalled. “The people in charge at Sporting alerted me and I went to Portugal where I had to sign some papers and authorize him being treated in hospital … “I was worried because there was the possibility of him giving up playing football. But the treatment went well and after some days he was back at training again.”

He’s dating model Georgina Rodriguez
The soccer hunk has made headlines over the years for his dating life.
He’s been linked to a number of famous women including Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian. His most public relationship was with Bradley Cooper’s ex, Irina Shayk. They were together for five years before calling it quits after rumors that Ronaldo cheated on her.
These days the Juventus superstar is dating Spanish model, Georgina Rodriguez.
While there have been conflicting reports about whether or not they are engaged, they have been in a relationship for about three years. They met in 2016 when Rodriguez worked as a sales associate for Gucci in Madrid.

Since then, the pair has been inseparable and appears regularly together on each other’s Instagram accounts. Rodriguez has also stuck by her man through his legal drama including tax fraud and sexual assault allegations.
Ronaldo has denied those allegations and in an Instagram Live video said, “They want to promote by my name. It’s normal. They want to be famous. It’s part of the job. I’m a happy man and all good.”
When describing her home life with the Portuguese baller, Rodriguez told the Spanish magazine Hola! that her typical day consists of waking up and having breakfast with the children before playing with them and making lunch. She said that’s followed by a nap, a gym workout, a spa session, and watching some TV with Ronaldo before bed.

Ronaldo has four children.
His oldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., was born in 2010 while he was dating Shayk. However, the athlete has chosen not to reveal the identity of the child’s biological mother.
“It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy. As agreed with the baby’s mother, who prefers to have her identity kept confidential, my son will be under my exclusive guardianship,” he said in a statement.
In June 2017, Ronaldo became a father to twins Eva Maria and Mateo, via surrogate. A few months later, Rodriguez gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Alana Martina.
Their family could be growing more in the near future as Ronaldo has said that he would like to have seven children.
