Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden has reacted after her celebrity dance partner Tom Fletcher posted a clip of her in hysterics after he suffered a fall in training earlier today. The Welsh native, 31, took to Instagram to reveal that she was “really concerned” following the McFly star’s fall in rehearsals, which saw him nearly bring Amy down too. The unfortunate moment comes just after the pair made their return to rehearsals after having to self-isolate and miss the BBC show due to Covid.
I was concerned I promise!
Posting the incident in view of his two million followers, Tom managed to capture Amy’s reaction to his dancing mishap.
Walking towards his dance partner from across the studio, Tom watched as Amy intently watched a clip of the couple dancing from earlier in the day.
Laughing at what she was watching, Amy collapsed on the floor, as she got the giggles.
Tom could be heard asking the star: “What you laughing at?” (sic)
“She’s just watching videos of me dance,” Tom explained, while pointing to the laptop.
“You just full on fell over!” Amy burst out, adding, “and you nearly took me with you!”
Panning to the clip, Tom could be seen lying spread-eagled on the floor of the studio following the accident.
Reposting the video to her stories, Amy wrote, “I was concerned I promise,” alongside multiple laughing face emojis.
Last Saturday saw Amy and Tom missing from Strictly’s second live show after testing positive for coronavirus.
The pair missed out on taking to the dance floor as they isolated separately following the positive test results.
Following the announcement, Amy took to her Instagram to break her silence over the news.
She wrote: “Unfortunately Tom and I have tested positive for COVID-19. I’m not suffering any symptoms but am now isolating at home.
“I have no doubt that over the next 10 days my mind will be going crazy with choreography ideas ready to get back on the Strictly dance floor for the live show in week 3!
“Thank you for all of the support and good luck to all of the couples this week.
“I will be cheering you all on!” she ended the post.
Tom also spoke out on his Instagram, apologising to his fans as his band McFly were forced to make changes to one of their tour dates.
He said, “I’m so sorry,” and reposted a message from McFly’s official page stating that he was feeling unwell.
However, the pair are now back in the studio preparing to take to the dance floor again on Saturday night.
Chatting to Tom on her Stories, Amy revealed that they’re set for a 6am start tomorrow morning, as Tom groaned at the prospect of the early wake up call.
Strictly Come Dancing is on Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
