Ian Wright admitted he is going to miss football more than his wife Nancy in the jungle.

The retired footballer, 56, made the confession he was going to pine for the sport more than his love Nancy Hallam ahead of the I'm A Celeb stint.

Harry Redknapp's long-time BFF had a lengthy football career which saw him play 581 league games and score 387 goals.

Now the sports star is making a comeback to the limelight with his reality TV stint on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

And it was last year's king Harry who convinced him to take on the job.

First off, the sporting legend admitted it's football that will be a gaping hole in his life for the next three weeks.

Then, of course his beautiful wife Nancy whom he wed eight years ago in a romantic ceremony in 2011.

He said: “I am definitely going to miss football. I don’t think I have ever been in a situation where I have been that isolated from the game in my life.”

“I am also going to miss my family. I speak to my missus every day and it’s going to be a test.”

Ian will share the camp alongside some big names including Caitlyn Jenner and Jacqueline Jossa.

Ant McPartlin will return to his hosting post by his BFF Declan Donnelly's side.
