Tilly Ramsay took to her official Instagram on Wednesday after having wrapped up rehearsals for the day with her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin.
The 20-year-old will be dancing a Samba to singer Dua Lipa’s hit single Levitating this weekend.
I think today was a good day even though very emotional day
But according to Tilly, her upcoming dance has been anything but easy to learn, having used the Instagram Story feature to keep her fans up to date with her progress.
“So guys, Samba day three is done,” she said before coming to an abrupt pause.
Nikita was quick to chime in, adding: “It’s a tough dance. I think today was a good day even though very emotional day, it was a good day.
“But there is so much to do tomorrow and we really gonna try our best tomorrow, aren’t we?”
Tilly agreed before mentioning that it was already 10 pm and she was ready to go to bed.
After last week’s Musical Week, viewers of the BBC One show were left baffled after the judges had scored Tilly a perfect 40 following her performance to the track Revolting from Matilda.
Strictly fans were in complete shock given that Gordon Ramsay’s daughter had found herself in the dance-off for two consecutive weeks prior.
One annoyed fan named simone_peter_ ranted about Tilly’s score, writing: “There’s definitely some sort of fix going on with Tilly; weakest performance tonight and she scores all the 10s??!! WTF?!”
Another fan @Survivingin2020 echoed similar words, tweeting: “You cannot give a 10 for a mistake #Strictly – you just gave a new meaning to the word ‘fix’ #bbc1 #strictly.
Last week, the BBC dispelled rumours of claims that the latest series of the ballroom competition was fixed, with a report via Daily Mail asserting that the broadcaster was “poaching” Gordon away from ITV by keeping his daughter on the show.
“There’s a feeling that there’s some blatant favouritism going on here – that they are pushing Tilly to win, or at least get to the final, because they want to nick her dad,” a source told the publication.
“Then you have the issue of the all-male couple, which is just the dream of certain people involved with the show for John and Johannes to pick up the glitterball. And as for AJ, she is adored.”
The BBC has denied these claims, telling Express.co.uk that Gordon has shared a long-standing relationship with the Beeb long before his daughter had signed on for Strictly.
Gordon had already worked on BBC’s Bank Balance and Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars.
Viewers of Strictly have shared their thoughts on Tilly having survived Week 10 after Sunday’s results show, with some insisting that she should’ve been sent home instead of McFly star Tom Fletcher.
Her perfect score with 40 points only led to more speculation that the show was “fixed” to let Tilly get to the final and ultimately take home the trophy ball.
The user Andi000211 wrote on Twitter: “Baffled. Who is voting for Tilly & Nikita?? They were so overmarked this week.”
Another user named @LFVSarge ranted: “Disgraceful judging tonight. Both Tom and Rhys are better dancers than Tilly and the judges have misled the TV audience. Obviously, the wrong couples were in the dance-off.”
However, others loved her performance on Saturday with @legallylondon typing: “I’m voting for Tilly – loved that #BBCStrictly #Matilda @tillyramsay.”
While @Joannagoody wrote: “Tilly & Nikita Blew me away!! The clarity in her movement was so clean & precise.
“I love the connections that couples choice give the celebrity and her personality really shone through in this dance! Loved it!”
Strictly returns on Saturday at 6.55 pm on BBC One.
