Country singer Jake Owen took to Instagram towards the very end of Pride Month to give a shout-out to his friends in the LGBTQ+ community.
The singer uploaded a snippet of himself putting a Country spin on Cher‘s classic, “Believe,” which is what came up after he Googled “gayest songs of all time,” he revealed jokingly in the caption of the video.
Although most of the comments on the post were amicable and praised Owen for supporting the LGBTQ+ community, another fan was more disapproving of the artist, writing, “Suddenly I feel sick that I have tickets to your show here on Thursday night.”
Far from responding with hatred, however, Owen wrote that he was “sorry you feel sick that you have tickets to my show Thursday night.”
He also kindly added that “If you make it out to my show, come give me a hug. You need one.”
