James Taylor will give a special performance at a fund-raising charity event for the international humanitarian organization Save the Children.
The five-time Grammy Award winner will be playing at the “Centennial Celebration: Once in a Lifetime” event on October 2 in Beverly Hills.
Save the Children Trustee and actor Jennifer Garner will be the host.
Walt Disney Company Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Iger will be honored with The Centennial Award on this occasion. Special guest Oprah Winfrey will present the award to Iger.
In addition to Taylor, the Amani Children’s Choir from Uganda are also scheduled to perform at the West Coast event.
The event will mark the culmination of the organization’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
Over the past 100 years, Save the Children has changed the lives of far more than 1 billion children, reaching 134 million children in 2018 alone.
