Katharine McPhee weds David Foster on anniversary of ‘very first single’

It’s official: Katharine McPhee and David Foster have tied the knot.

According to Us Weekly and People, the “Smash” star married the music exec at the Church of Saint Yeghiche in the South Kensington district of West London on Friday.

McPhee’s wedding day shares an anniversary with the release of her “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” cover, her first single after her run on “American Idol.” The song dropped 13 years ago, and her now-hubby Foster produced it.

“Life is full of beautiful coincidences, isn’t?” McPhee wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for taking me over the rainbow, David.”

McPhee, 35, also took to her Instagram story to offer a glimpse of her wedding prep hours before the event.

“The secret to a calm and collected bride,” she wrote over a clip of her getting a facial. “And maybe a little Xanax.”

The ceremony marks McPhee’s second marriage and Foster’s fifth. The “Scorpion” star was married to Nick Cokas from 2008 to 2016, and the music producer, 69, was married to B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer, Linda Thompson and Yolanda Hadid.
