Kristin Chenoweth is opening up about the sudden death of her young Descendants co-star Cameron Boyce.
The 50-year-old actress played the role of Maleficent in the first film of the Disney Channel series.
“I did the Descendants movie and all those kids are like my kids. Just like the Glee kids are. Just like the Hairspray kids are. But Cameron Boyce was one of my babies,” Kristin said during an appearance on The Talk on Monday (July 8).
“I remember that we were… rehearsing, rehearsing and rehearsing and that kid never ran out of energy. And I said, ‘You’re like Justin Timberlake. You’re like a hummingbird. You never stop.’ This is a true story,” Kristin added. She then said she learned about Cameron‘s death while in Las Vegas and she said, “What do you think flew by me? [A hummingbird.]… I thought, okay Cam, I got you.”
