The family of Love Island star Belle Hassan has been found after going missing, following the earthquake in Turkey.
Belle’s father, actor Tamer Hassan, confirmed that their family is “safe”, after being “pulled from the rubble” in a new interview.
The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria this week has claimed the lives of over 21,000.
Many people still remain to be found in the rubble of collapsed buildings, following the natural disaster.
Tamer, 54, gave the update on his found family via video link from Cyprus to Sky News.
He said: "We had some great news in the early hours of the morning that they've been found.
"We're very, very happy for that, we're very relieved. It comes a little bit bitter sweet to tell you the truth because the amount of people that are still there – family, friends, Cypriots, Turkish people and every one from around the world that are stuck there.
"But they've been found, we're happy."
Tamer continued: “Quite recently they were rescued, we haven't had too much information, but we know they've been pulled from the rubble and they are safe at the moment which we're very thankful for, so thank you for all your well-wishes and prayers."
The Football Factory star’s positive news comes a day after making an emotional plea for help in searching for his loved ones and other still lost in the earthquake tragedy.
Tamer said he had travelled to Cyprus in effort of getting into Turkey, however added that he was “not hopeful” that his family would be found.
Speaking for his family back in the UK, the actor shared that they were “devastated” at the loss of their relatives and others whose families have died as a result of the earthquake.
“The biggest distress for me is that there's some areas that have been completely flattened with no help," Tamer added.
"What we're trying to do is ascertain exactly where the most help is needed."
The film star has set up a Go Fund Me page in aim of raising money towards aid for the earthquake-stricken areas. The total raised so far has reached over £11,000.
Tamer stated on the fundraising page that help is needed to bring baby supplies, blankets, food and tents to those effected by the earthquake.
“We need funds to help those in need and to help somehow rebuild this country back to what it once was,” the actor wrote.
