Congratulations are in order for Megan Fox, 35, and Machine Gun Kelly, 31, as after a year and a half of dating they are officially engaged. But fans were a little concerned with how the pair celebrated the good news.

… and then we drank each other’s blood. 1.11.22

Both the actress and musician, whose real name is Colson Baker, took to social media on Wednesday to update fans and share an intimate video of the proposal, revealing it took place on January 11.

They also said that the singer popped the question in a special place – under the same tree where they had asked for “magic” 18 months before.

She captioned the post: “In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic.

“We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time.

“Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.

“Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.”

She added: “And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.

Rushing to the comments section to wish the couple well, fans were beyond happy for them both, but some were a little confused about the type of celebration they held afterwards.

One penned: “Yall really Had to end the caption like that smh but congrats.”(sic)

“OMG I’m so happy for you both but whattttt did I just read,” a second seemed baffled.

A third commented: “Wait what?! you did what now.”

Colson shared his own touching tribute to his Instagram account, where he explained why he chose to create Megan’s stunning engagement ring the way he did.

He wrote: “‘Yes, in this life and every life’ beneath the same branches we fell in love under, I brought her back to ask her to marry me.

“I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”

The pair met in 2020, when they were filming the movie Midnight in the Switchgrass.

And while romance rumours were in the air, they didn’t make their relationship official until October 2021 during an interview with GQ.

She also appeared in his B****y Valentine music video.

In May 2020, Megan officially called it quits with her ex-husband actor Brian Austin Green, after nearly 10 years of marriage.

They share three children together – Noah, eight, Bodhi, seven, and Journey, four.

Meanwhile, Colson shares a daughter, Casie, with Emma Cannon.
