Kevin Clifton, 37, has been married three times, and today Steph’s Packed Lunch host Steph McGovern could not help but address his past misfortunes in the romance department while on air. The former BBC Breakfast host queried if the ballroom dancer had finally settled down with current girlfriend Stacey Dooley amid his “terrible reputation”, as her co-host Oti Mabuse could be seen in fits of hysterics at the unexpectedly direct question from Steph to Kevin.

After appearing on the show, Oti ensured that the Grimsby-born star knew he had her full support, as she shared the hilarious clip with followers and typed: “Love @kevclifton”.

Underneath, fans shared laughing face emojis as they were left amused by the slightly awkward exchange between Steph and Kevin.

In the clip, Steph said to the Ballroom and Latin star: “I’m going to ask you one more [question] that’s going to make you feel even more uncomfortable.

“Have you finally settled down now, love? Because you’ve got a terrible reputation on Strictly.”

“What! It’s an ambush!” Kevin responded.

Steph commented: “I’m kidding, I’m just trying to get the TV drama stuff!

“No, I’m going to leave it there don’t worry,” she teased.

Kevin cheekily quipped: “Find out by coming to see Burn the Floor,” in reference to his stint in the world’s leading Ballroom show.

Meanwhile, Oti quizzed her former colleague on what he had been up to in the past year.

“It’s been different, I watch the show obviously, well done by the way – I haven’t seen you since,” Kevin said, congratulating the South African dancer on her 2020 win with Bill Bailey.

“It was nice to watch it as a fan on the last season, because when you’re in it, you can’t quite comprehend how many people are watching and how many people are going mad for the show.  I thought I was going to be quite nonchalant about it.

“I’m going to leave the show and be quite quiet, I won’t be one of those people that bangs on about it.”

“Then two weeks in I became this crazed obsessed fan,” the dancer continued.

Kevin was previously married to his dance partner Anna Melnikova aged 20 before going on to marry professional ballet dancer Clare Craze.

They split in 2010 and Kevin married his third wife, Strictly professional Karen Hauer, in 2015.

However, they broke it off in 2018 and the 37-year-old went on to date his Strictly partner Stacey.

Last year, Kevin quit the dance contest and the pair began living together in a “tiny” London flat.

However, they have recently moved into a larger home, complete with a stunning outdoor area, to enjoy the upcoming warmer nights in.

Stacey shared that lockdown made the couple stronger, as they bonded over the redecoration of their new abode.

She told The Mirror: “I call him Kev Titchmarsh. He loves the garden.

“When the lockdown kicked off, we were in this tiny flat and I thought, ‘We need a house’.

“So we bought the house and have a garden – and Kev is never out of it.”
