EastEnders star Bobby Brazier joins Strictly Come Dancing 2023
Strictly Come Dancing 2023 star Bobby Brazier is excited to join the line-up following his debut role on EastEnders last year.
While the 20-year-old is now an established actor, resurfaced TikTok show Bobby being a typically rebellious teen after he made a cheeky request to fans.
In 2020, the son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody put out a request on social media for fans to pay his £200 rent for him so that he wouldn’t lose his driving lessons and phone data privileges.
The then-17-year-old, who had been booking modelling gigs at the time, complained that his dad had been charging him rent.
A young Bobby took to his TikTok account, which now boasts 229,900 followers, to share a video of himself eating from a bowl while he danced around the kitchen to Janet Jackson’s Together Again.

He captioned the clip: “I pay rent to live in my own family’s house before I’m 18.
“And it’s the end of the month and I can’t afford it,” he added. “My driving lessons, data and lifts to the station are gonna stop.”
“But I got the naughtiest tunes you’ve ever heard in your life so none of it matters,” he concluded.
The video then showed up running down the street in the rain with the caption: “Wish me luck or send me a fiver.”
Under the clip he then cheekily wrote: “Living at mine ain’t worth £200 a month. #fyp any sexy cougars that have an extra bit of dough? #naughty #peaktimes #imafullgrownadultnow.”

Express.co.uk contacted Jeff Brazier’s representatives, who declined to comment.
A few months later Jeff, addressed the reason he charges his son for rent during a discussion of parenting on Dave Berry’s Dadpod podcast.
Explaining at the time that it was a “motivational tool” for his son, he said: “If the work ethic isn’t there, then I would put some things in place in order to encourage that, such as charging Bobby rent.
“That’s something I decided to do because I believe in that as a motivational tool for him to go and, you know, work four or five hours doing a pot wash in the local caff or the restaurant or whatever.”
Bobby, who is now best known for playing Freddie Slater in BBC One’s EastEnders, has shared his excitement ahead of taking part in Strictly Come Dancing.
He said: “I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly line up, I can’t wait to start training like a professional dancer and adding a few moves to my locker.
“I’m looking forward to performing in-front of everyone, it’s going to be so much fun!”
Other soap stars announced in the 2023 line-up include Nigel Harman, Ellie Leach and Adam Thomas.
