The Voice USA star Kata Hay has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of having sexual contact with a minor.
The musician, who appeared on the show in 2016, was taken into custody in Sumner County, Tennessee, on Tuesday, TMZ reports.
According to legal documents that the website has seen, the alleged incident began when Hay made sexual comments about a 16-year-old boy in front of his parents, who she was staying with for a short period.
The comments then allegedly progressed to physical contact, with the teen claiming Hay kissed him and forced him to touch her inappropriately multiple times against his wishes.
The age of consent in Tennessee is 18.
Hay has reportedly also been processed on a probation violation related to a separate DUI case.
Speaking to TMZ, Hay said: "As you know a charge is not a conviction."
The singer starred on The Voice US in 2016, with three of the judges, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Pharrell Williams, turning around for her.
The singer then chose Aguilera as her coach and briefly kissed the singer in her audition – describing herself as "THAT girl who kissed @xtina on #TheVoice" in her Instagram bio.
On the show, Hay managed to make it through the battle rounds – but was eliminated in the first week of live shows.
Since then, Hay has continued to tour, with the singer meant to be doing an acoustic show in Maryland on Friday, as well as posting on her social media pages.
Her most popular account is her YouTube page, with 16.7k subscribers and more than 1.5 million views on her videos, followed by her Facebook page, where she has more than 11,000 likes.
