The cousin of Love Island’s Tommy Fury is reportedly in intensive care after being stabbed while on a night out with pals.
Peter Fury Jr, 28, was rushed to hospital last weekend after an altercation in Cheshire, where he and his friends were followed out of The Bubble Room before a fight broke out.
Paramedics were called late Saturday night to the incident, and Peter ended up having a four-hour operation to keep him alive.
His injuries are now said to be non-life threatening.
Peter Fury Sr, the victim’s father, told The Sun: ‘Peter was lucky in that no vital organs were damaged. As I understand it they had an altercation inside the club and went outside for a fight.
‘It was a total shock when I learned what had happened. I am a family man.’
Thankfully he added that he’s recovering well and is now due to come out of intensive care this evening (Monday).
According to The Sun, family held off on telling him the news until he finished Love Island. The star came in second with girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague.
A Cheshire police said of the incident in a statement: ‘Officers found a 28-year-old man had been stabbed twice by two offenders. A second man, 28, was also stabbed. He had left the scene and taken himself to hospital.’
They added that two people from Derby had since been arrested for the attack.
‘We’d like to make a special mention to our team who had to deal with a serious situation,’ a Bubble Room spokesperson said.
‘A man approached our doors asking for help as he had been seriously injured up the road. Our team helped see to him and call an ambulance.’
