HH-118389225 Looks to Cold Water Exploration for FW21 Collection

First previewed back in January, Helly Hansen‘s archive line HH-118389225 has now released its Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Dubbed “Capsule 212,” the collection looks into the Helly Hansen back catalogue and celebrates the label’s 140 year history of technical sailing apparel and particularly its “ÆGIR” Offshore Collection, originally launched for sailors competing in ocean races around the world.

These races require heavy-duty garments, which are referenced throughout “Capsule 212.” This includes a selection of modular products to be worn together, as well as technical details such as 3-layer shells, ultrasonic taped seams and 3M reflective detailing. Stand-out items in the collection include the HH 5-1 Storm Coat — which can be worn in 5 different configurations — and the HH Flow Parka, a lightweight coat that is suitable for varying temperatures by storing hot air to add warmth, and offering ventilation through a zipper system.

Throughout the collection, modularity is a particular focus. One key reference to this is the use of interchangeable spray hoods, that can be attached to key styles in the collection, allowing flexibility depending on weather conditions.

The latest collection from Helly Hansen’s HH-118389225 is available now from select stockists including HBX.

In other fashion news, Stone Island recently previewed its Spring/Summer 2022 collection, including a range of special-edition anniversary pieces.
