Michelle Obama Wrote the Most Heartfelt Tribute to Cameron Boyce After His Death

Tributes have been pouring in from across the nation for one of Hollywood’s rising stars gone too soon. Now, Michelle Obama is paying tribute to Cameron Boyce after his death. The former First Lady shared her somber condolences and remembered how special the young, up-and-coming actor was when she met him.

Boyce, who was known for his role in Disney Channel’s Descendants, died on Saturday, July 6, at the age of 20 as a result of an epileptic seizure in his sleep, according to his family. While many from Disney Channel and Hollywood have been sharing their memories, the former First Lady took to Instagram with a heartfelt tribute to the young star. Obama shared her post on Tuesday, remembering the actor’s “incredible talent” and “incredible heart” before offering her condolences to Boyce’s family and friends.

“I was lucky enough to share a few moments with Cameron Boyce — on set, at the White House, and on a service project — enough time to recognize that not only did he have incredible talent, but also an incredible heart,” Obama wrote with a photo of the pair. “Sending out a lot of love and hugs to his family, friends, and his many, many fans,” she added.

Obama isn’t the first to remember Boyce. The young actor’s Grown Ups costar, Adam Sandler, previously took to social media with an emotional message memorializing the actor and comforting Boyce’s family.. “Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid,” Sandler wrote, continuing, “Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences.”
