In today’s era of footwear, New Balance has struck a chord with many a sneaker aficionado for its impactful collaborations, but when the brand’s classic silhouettes get whipped up with its signature gray palette, this also appears to turn just as many heads. After getting applied to the 2002R, the traditional gray and white is getting transferred over to the New Balance 1400.
For this rendition’s base, a premium and buttery suede material forms a majority of its real estate, and comes complemented with reflective notes that are dropped off on the heel overlays and “N” logos. Tongues proffer up some contrast here as they are treated with a creamy complexion, and crisp hits of white also come into play across the interior linings, heel’s stitched-in “NB” logos, tongue’s backdrops and shoe laces. Heel counters are given their usual muted grey exterior. Moving south, the midsoles are designed with a bright white tone and come rounded off down below with all-black outsoles.
If interested in copping a pair of these extra versatile 1400s, you can find select retailers like atmos dropping them on June 5. Retail price is set at ¥35,200 (approx. $321 USD).
In regards to additional footwear news, New Balance has just dropped Summer-friendly sandals at HBX.
