Thom Browne has returned with its annual football capsule collection — this time, merging staple silhouettes from seasons past with updated takes on the brand’s traditional design codes.
“Football on Thanksgiving, a Thom Browne tradition,” the collection notes read. “Navy team, grey team, nice to see you again.”
The campaign imagery, shot by Andrew Jacobs, brings the range to life on an actual football field among a cast of friendly competitors. There, mesh jerseys live atop classic tailoring alongside mid-top heritage trainers; and on the sidelines, down-filled four-bar parkas pair with pillow scarves, matching muffs and football-shaped backpacks.
Elsewhere in the lineup, grey and navy classics receive the classic Thom Browne revamp with refined cuts and angular definition. Continuing from the label’s 2020 football iterations, four-bar down scarves, four-bar sweats, and the aforementioned mid-tod sneakers and football backpack play into Browne’s overarching commitment to tradition, which began with the designer’s first football game in 2015. Unifying the capsule across the range, the brand’s famous tricolor stripes land atop a variety of accessories and ready-to-wear pieces.
