Full, supple lips are in fashion, and while some celebs opt for lip fillers to plump up their pout, there are less invasive and cheaper options that can transform your lips in just a few steps. Express.co.uk spoke exclusively to Project Lip, a “new innovative lip plumping brand” about their hero products.
This number one step is extremely important. Before trying any other hacks, exfoliate your lips first.
Flaky lips reflect less light, which means a dry pucker could be making lips look smaller than they actually are.
Exfoliating also makes the skin look healthier.
To exfoliate, use a lip scrub to “buff up the base and fight dry lips”.
When your body is dehydrated, your lips can shrivel.
Along with drinking lots of water, incorporate additional hydration with lip balms that can help soften and strengthen the outer layer of the skin.
While lip masks are relatively new in the beauty industry, they have great results.
Not only do they lock in moisture, but they also condition and revitalise the skin.
The secret to a long-lasting plumped lip is using a prime.
Project Lip said: “Boost the volume and get the full effect, with our bestselling hero product – our Matte Plumping Primer.
“Infused with a blend of ultra-hydrating ingredients including vitamin E, this staple product will nourish your lips, naturally creating a primed and plumped-up pout.”
It’s also been tried and tested, thanks to the ginger root complex, 84 percent of customers said their lips felt “fuller and plump from first use”.
