If you're a fan of BBC's Call The Midwife, you will be accustomed to seeing the cast walk around in their nuns and nurses costumes, so when we see them out of their usual attire, we can't quite believe our eyes.

Leonie Elliot who plays midwife Lucille Anderson made everyone double take on the red carpet of the National Television Awards which are sponsored by OK!.

Walking alongside heer fellow stars, the actress wowed in her off-screen transformation in a glamorous silver sequin dress by designer Michael Kors.

The sparkling look was finished off with a matching pair of strappy sandals and silver jewels.

Also on the red carpet, we saw the 33-year-old unite with her co-stars Stephen McGann and Megan Cusack who looked like a force to be reckoned with.

Amongst all of stars attending the event Leonie stood out for all of the right reasons as she twinkled her way down the carpet.

We especially love the frill hem and high neck on the dress that gives the look a more modern edge.

Leonie joined the show back in 2018 and has since gone on to become an integral and much-loved character.

We are used to seeing the character of Lucille in her iconic blue midwife uniform, burgundy cardigan and grey cape whilst running around delivering babies – and we think it's safe to say that the only thing she was delivering on the red carpet was fierce poses.

Or when she's not on the job we see her sporting 1950s and 1960s inspired ensembles which consist of bold and colourful prints.

As well as the costumes, Lucille also goes through a range of hairstyles appropriate for the eras – we can't imagine the character opting for the slicked back high bun that Leonie sported for the NTAs.

Whilst we think that she still looks fabulous on screen, it's her off-screen style transformation that has us left speechless, especially this ultra-glam look that is miles away from what the character of Lucille would ever be seen in.
