‘Alfie in the Emily in Paris season two, I have no words’, wrote a third impressed viewer.

The last season of the show ended with Emily confessing her love for Gabriel, who was due to move to Normandy to open his own restaurant and had seemingly broken up with girlfriend Camille (Camille Razat).

The character has already left viewers declaring themselves ‘team Alfie’ on social media and calling the actor ‘stunning’

However after revealing that he was actually planning on staying in Paris and had not broken up with his long-term girlfriend, and Emily decides to end the relationship as not to risk her friendship with Camille.

At the beginning of the series, Emily is adjusting more to life in Paris and – in a bid to dampen any sexual tension with Gabriel – starts dating Alfie after meeting in a language class.

By the end of the season, Emily’s Chicago boss Madeline is desperate to see Emily return to the US, while Alfie is keen to move back to London for work but wants a long distance relationship.

After discovering she still has feelings for Gabriel, the series ends on a cliff hanger – meaning fans will have to wait for season three to discover whether Lucien will be returning to their screens.

Lucien, 29, is known for his role as Jake Briggs in Grange Hill in 2007, later playing Ben Richardson in Coronation Street in 2009 and featuring in celebrity Big Brother in 2011.

While it’s not known whether Lucien is in an official relationship – he hit headlines last month after being spotted flirting with former Little Mix member Jesy Nelson, 30, during a night out in London.

Addressing his status as the series’ latest hunky love interest in an interview with Time Magazine, Lucien said that while he’s not bothered by giving Gabriel a run for his money – a few crushes would be ‘lovely’.

‘I just hope I’ve done a good job, more than anything. As for crushes, that’d be lovely- if not, I’ll be fine. I’ll survive, I’ll survive’, he said.
