First look inside Wendy’s UK restaurant as flagship introduces veggie burger

America's popular fast-food restaurant Wendy's has made a comeback to the UK after 21 years and brought a few of its bestsellers to the food lovers.

The fast food franchise opened its door in Reading today, with members of staff firing up the stove for a range of classic burgers like Baconator and Dave's Single, as well as dessert drink Frosty.

Footage taken inside the flagship store shows members of staff following Covid-19 guidelines, including wearing face masks in the kitchen and at the counter.

The meal packaging uses the iconic red and white colour, and of course, the logo of Wendy's positioned in the centre.

The must-try Baconator is filled with a double beef patty with American cheese, six pieces of crispy Applewood smoked bacon, ketchup and mayo.

The restaurant is also introducing a UK exclusive – Veggie Stack – for the British foodies as they replace the meat patty to black bean and grains.

The Reading restaurant has been carefully designed to cater for a post-pandemic world, with the fizzy drinks dispenser being contactless.
