The card is a drawing of a photo taken by Meghan’s mother Doria. It shows the family playing together with a Wendy house in the garden. Meghan and Harry kneel around Archie, who stands up in his father’s arms.
The Christmas card was released on Wednesday via Mayhew, a UK animal charity for which the Duchess is a patron.
A message on it read: “Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
A body language expert has analysed the card for Express.co.uk.
Judi James said: “Harry and Meghan have steered away from conspicuous wealth and consumption and posed in a tiny wooden playhouse rather than their multi-million dollar mansion up the other end of the garden.”

The sweet garden shot shows how much the pair dote on their little boy, according to the expert.
Judi said: “By shrinking their surroundings they also boost up their small son. This is H&M entering his toddler-size world to suggest how besotted they are with their Archie.”
Addressing the artistic element of the card, making the image look like a painting, Judi had some thoughts.
“The digital work turns their Xmas photo into what looks like an idyllic illustration from a children’s book,” she said.

“Both Harry and Meghan’s attention is focused on their son, with Harry holding his head close as he grins delightedly into Archie’s face.”
The Mayhew Trust posted the image on their Twitter. The tweet attracted almost 15,500 likes at the time of writing.
The trust wrote alongside the image: “We’re thrilled to receive wonderful Christmas wishes from our Patron, The Duchess of Sussex, who also made a personal donation, helping dogs, cats and our community.”
Fittingly, the picture also starred Meghan’s beagle and the couple’s black labrador.
“King Archie has red hair like is daddy,” one fan wrote.
Another wrote: “Aww…Soooo Adorable!”
Another said: “Nice! I love their vibe and the aesthetics.”
Another wrote: “Love the beautiful simple family portrait. Creativity at its best. So much room for interpretation.”
Kate Middleton’s Christmas card was also received well by fans.
It featured her, William, and all the couple’s three children.
It was shared on the royals’ Instagram account with the message: “The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share a new image of their family, which features on their Christmas card this year.”
All were dressed in cosy jumpers and shirts for the snap in warm autumnal colours.
