Inside Harry and Meghans romantic getaway before their engagement in unseen snaps

In advance of their upcoming Netflix documentary, Harry and Meghan have released a compilation of never before seen black and white images, some of which appear to have been taken just before their engagement in November 2017.

Five years ago, the the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace to announce their happy news to the media, with the former Suits actress debuting her stunning engagement ring.

After a very romantic vacation to South Africa, Harry made his quiet, low-key proposal at their then-home, Nottingham Cottage.

In the trailer for their show, Harry & Meghan, unseen snaps taken prior to their engagement have been revealed. The royal couple are seen jumping in the air in front of a watering hole. The former actress is wearing small denim shorts, an open shirt, and hiking boots, accessorised with sunglasses and a cream and black hat.

A final picture of the duo shows them sitting cross-legged on the ground, dressed casually, gazing into each other's eyes as Harry serenades with a guitar. Although they haven't confirmed the date or location of the photos, they seem to be in the early stages of their budding romance.

The couple travelled to Africa on two separate occasions while they were dating. The first was a three-week vacation to Botswana in July 2016, where they stayed together in a luxury tent in Okavango Delta.

In the couple’s engagement interview, the Prince revealed: "We camped out with each other under the stars…Then we were really by ourselves, which was crucial to me to make sure that we had a chance to get to know each other."

The couple returned in August 2017 for Meghans’ 36th birthday, where they stayed at the Meno a Kwena camp in Botswana. It was during this trip that the couple discussed getting engaged, with royal biographers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand reporting the trip made the couple "feel more connected than ever," and it is where "Harry made his intentions very clear". Upon their return to the UK, Harry popped the question with an engagement ring featuring a natural diamond sourced from Botswana.

In preparation for the release of their Netflix docuseries,a minute-long trailer was shared on 1 Decembergiving fans a sneak peek of what to expect. As well as the never before seen photographs of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s romantic getaway, the trailer features the first ever photo of Meghan and Harry's private wedding celebrations in 2018, as well as a handful of black and white snaps that appear to have been taken inside Meghan and Harry’s home.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are rumoured to have made $100 million (£88 million) from their highly anticipated documentary series, which is likely to reveal more damaging secrets about the Royal Family.
