Love Island changes people and getting a much-coveted spot as a contestant on the hit ITV show means your life will never be the same again.
From lucrative modelling contracts to a spike in Insta followers to being recognised when you pop down to the shops, everything is different.
But although stars of the show have become some of the country’s most recognisable faces, a few of them look a little different from when they appeared on our screens. We take a look at some of the most drastic post-Love Island transformations.
Harley Judge on Love Island
When Harley Judge first entered the villa back in 2017, he was certainly made of muscle. The blond star had a six-pack and a toned physique, no doubt sculpted in the gym.
However, since then he has taken his look to a whole new level by becoming a professional body builder.

Harley regularly posts updates of his muscular journey to his Instagram page, highlighting his strict diet and fitness regime. Recently he competed in a body building contest, coming in first place.
In his comment beneath the image he highlighted how much work his new vocation took, writing: "1ST F*****G PLACE!! Only gone and done it, all the hard work has paid off
"10 weeks of dieting, hours in the gym, hours of cardio .. PURE GRIT .. blood, sweat, and no tears (close a few times)
"To say I’m proud of myself is an understatement. I set myself a goal and I’ve smashed it I thank you all for your positive and negative comments + messages because without it I wouldn’t have done it. You are my motivation”.
Amber Gill on Love Island
This year’s Love Island winner was instantly recognisable with her gorgeous brunette ringlets. However, earlier this month on the night that her Miss Pap collection, which reportedly earned her £1 million, was launched the stunning star turned up looking very different indeed.

The 22 year old starlet arrived to her luxurious bash rocking long dark hair instead of her natural curly locks. Fans immediately took to social media to express their shock, with one writing: “Didn’t recognise Amber with the new look. She looks amazing.”
Katie Allan, hair expert and Founder of MAYFIVE Hair, said: “Amber’s hair would have been blowdried with a soft bristle brush in small sections with maximum tension to ensure a smooth flat surface is achieved.
“On natural curly hair plenty of product is required as it soaks up all the moisture. Then, make sure the parting is straight and precise using the end of a pintail comb to get the best result.”
“For extra volume and length apply tape temporary hair extensions and fix up with a good strong hold hairspray.”
Megan Barton-Hanson on Love Island
When Megan starred on the show back in 2018 she has beachy, blonde tresses that typified a casual summer look and her girl next door appearance captured the heart of Wes Nelson, 21.
However, it’s been over a year since then and Meg and Wes are no more, and neither is her blonde hair.

The stunning star revealed her new dark locks in July of this year on Instagram, captioning the pic: “New me”. Since leaving the villa Megan’s hair had gradually been going a darker blonde, but her chocolate brown hair surprised all of her fans – who thought she looked incredible.
Her comments were instantly flooded with people telling her how much they loved her new look, and that dark brown really suited her. One said: "hair looks really healthy this colour", while another wrote: "Omg your blonde is gone! I love this shade though"
Amber Davies on Love Island
2017 winner Amber, 22, entered the villa with sleek dark hair that looked chic and glossy. But since leaving the show she has had an appearance overhaul. In an inversion of Megan’s transformation Amber has gone from brunette to blonde.

The Welsh star’s blonde hair renders her near unrecognisable. Perhaps her blonde locks were inspired by her appearance in the West End show ‘9 to 5’ based on world-famous blonde, Dolly Parton.
Aside from changing the colour of her tresses, Amber has also had her ears pinned back. When she landed the dream theatre role the musical’s producer sent her to Nashville to meet Dolly, and while she was there she had the painful procedure.
Curtis Pritchard on Love Island
Curtis revealed he gained two stone because, as he told the Sun: “I enjoyed myself in the villa and I didn’t exercise a lot. I liked to treat myself every now and again with food.”
He went on to say that yo-yo dieting is typical for him, describing how “All the other lads were in incredible shape, I like to go up and down. “When I’m dancing I’m up, when I’m enjoying myself I like to eat food.”
Curtis Pritchard now
Since leaving Love Island Curtis, 23, has been focussing on his health and is an ambassador for WW, formerly Weight Watchers, and has consequently lost weight.
At The Sun’s Who Cares Wins health awards, Curtis showed off his hard-earned svelte physique. The ballroom dancer told The Sun Online that following the weight loss program is “going fantastic, really well I’ve got to say.”
He then added: "I haven’t been weighed in for my second weigh in so I’d be lying if I gave you a figure of how much I’ve lost. But I feel great, I feel very, very good actually and slimmer than I have been in a long time."
