Love Islanders wages before the villa including Gemma Owens salary and Fishmonger Luca

Love Island recruited far and wide to ensure a mix of islanders moved into the villa to entertain us throughout the summer. And entertain us they have.

As a result the castmates have a range of occupations including rugby player and hospitality jobs.

While, some of the show's stars will go on to be celebrities and potentially catapult their earnings, others may return to their day jobs.

Europe’s leading price comparison site has investigated their job titles to discover what kind of salary they were likely to be on before entering the famous villa in search of love (and maybe some Instagram followers)…

Jacques O'Neill – £90,000-£140,000

As a rugby league player for Castleford Tigers, his earnings are not too shabby at all.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu – £16,000 per episode

She's already been praised for bringing much of the drama to the villa, and in real life she gets paid for it too. Ekin-Su is an actress on Turkish TV series called Kuzey Yildiz, where it's estimated they take home around 16k per episode. According to IMDB, she has starred in seven.

She also had an impressive 340,000 followers on Instagram before entering the villa, which could equate to around £1,000 per sponsored post.

Gemma Owen – It's complicated

Gemma Owen works as a dressage rider, business owner and Instagrammer. Due to the mix of income streams, her salary is difficult to calculate.

As a successful dressage rider she can earn over £15,000 per win. Her swimwear brand ‘OG Beachwear’ reportedly made a loss in its latest financial year.

With an Instagram following of over 82,000 prior to entering the villa, Gemma could have been making around £700 per sponsored post.
