DEAR DEIDRE: MY wife recently confessed to having sex with a younger man years ago but she refuses to discuss it.
We have been together for 12 years, happily married for ten, with a good sex life.
I picked her up from the station last week and she came out chatting to a younger man. We are 55, he was a lot younger.
We had a few drinks at home that evening and she stunned me by telling me he was the son of a friend and she’d had a one-night-stand with him 16 years ago.
I know that I can’t condemn it, because I have had one-night stands in my life and this happened before we met.
But I feel let down because she did not tell me about it sooner.

Our life experiences shape the people we are now and if those pasts had been different, you might not have ended up together.
You should focus on the relationship you have and concentrate on making sure it is as rewarding for you both as possible.
