The Victorian Liberal Party has launched an internal investigation after a joint report by The Age and 60 Minutes exposed extensive branch stacking, implicating one of the Prime Minister’s frontbenchers.
The scheme was revealed in an array of secret recordings, colourful social media communications and detailed documents that involve the Assistant Treasurer and Minister for Housing, Michael Sukkar, as well as Kevin Andrews, the longest-serving member in the House of Representatives.
In this episode, national editor Tory Maguire is joined by investigative journalist Nick McKenzie to discuss what the branch-stacking revelations mean for the Prime Minister, the party and taxpayers.
