Pregnant Charlotte Dawson unveils gorgeous baby nursery complete with 6ft tall stuffed giraffe

Charlotte Dawson is currently in full nesting mode and putting the finishing touches to her baby boy’s nursery.

As her due date draws closer by the day, the Celebs Go Dating star has put together the perfect space to welcome her little one to the world.

The 28 year old’s nursery has been decked out with everything her newborn will need – including an incredible 6ft tall stuffed giraffe.

The huge stuffed animal towers over the pale blue and grey nursery, ready for baby Dawson’s arrival.

Sharing a video of the finished room to Instagram, Charlotte wrote: "Sneak peek of our little angels nursery. It's so calming."

She tagged the post with a blue heart and stars emojis, along with a link to her interior designer, Stephane Moreton.

Charlotte made sure she is prepped for night feeds, with a cosy and comfy sofa seat next to the white crib.

The reality star and daughter of late comedian Les Dawson is expecting a baby boy with her other half Matt Sarsfield in January.

Charlotte suffered with gestational diabetes during her pregnancy, putting her in a higher risk category meaning additional hospital checks.

Gestational diabetes causes high blood sugar that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth.

Speaking on Steph's Packed Lunch on Channel 4, the TV star explained: "I am struggling mentally with everything. It’s mentally draining, feeling like this."

To help the problem, Charlotte swapped up her usual go-to junk food for healthier options – a change she's found difficult to wrap her head around.

“I think it’s probably getting to me as well, if I’m down I usually have chips and gravy… and I can’t!" she told Doctor Sophie Newton on the show.

The star admitted that she’s also struggled being pregnant during a pandemic and found the experience especially worrying.

“I’m just so worried about doing anything to the baby, that’s what I’m so worried about, of anything happening to him. Having a baby in a pandemic… it’s not easy,” she said.

Offering some advice to mums-to-be in the same situation as herself, Charlotte said: "If any of my fellow preggo birds have just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes, I just want to give you a big snuggle.

"I know we’re not allowed to cuddle right now – but come here you! I just want to say, we’ve got this girls, we need to be positive and just rock this gestational diabetes!”
