Many UK supermarkets have increased the number of online delivery slots available for customers. Those who shop at Tesco, Asda and Marks & Spencer can all order food items online.

Earlier this year, Britons were urged to stay home as much as possible.

With a second lockdown set to begin in England tomorrow, some people may choose to buy groceries online.

Supermarkets have added more slots and adapted delivery rules to cope with the growing demand.

Many retailers have also introduced a shopping scheme for the festive period.

How to get food for Christmas Day

Shoppers without a Delivery Saver account can start to choose their delivery slots from November 20 at 7am.

Those who do have an account can pick their times a week earlier, from November 13 at 7am.

The Tesco website states: “Slots fill up quickly, so set a reminder to make sure you don’t miss out.

“Don’t forget, you can book a slot early if you’re a Delivery Saver customer.”

A Delivery Saver account is a subscription-based account that offers unlimited free delivery.

Customers can sign up for a monthly charge of £7.99, or £47.94 for six months.

Marks & Spencer

The retailer recently signed up with Ocado to offer 6,000 food products for delivery.

The service offers speedy delivery and some M&S clothing and home items will also be available.

The retailer has a huge selection of products for Christmas celebrations.

However, some M&S Christmas items will only be available to preorder for collection.

Customers can place their orders now to pick up between December 22 to 24, and December 30 to 31.

The supermarket giant has recently increased the number of delivery slots available so more shoppers can buy online.

Customers can order from it’s Christmas range from November 6.

Shoppers with a Delivery Pass have been able to pre-order since October 30.

Those hoping to order can choose from starters, mains, desserts and party food and orders can be delivered to home or collected from stores.
