Most often, we see Kate Middleton interacting with other members of the royal family. She seems to have a perfect life – a wonderful husband who deeply loves her and just happens to be a prince, three beautiful children, she lives in a palace, the public adores her, and to top it off, she is absolutely beautiful.
Most royal fans can agree that they wouldn’t exactly mind having Kate Middleton as a friend. We don’t often get a glimpse into the personal life of the Duchess of Cambridge, and when we do, it typically involves her husband and kids, or her family, in particular, her younger sister, Pippa.
We have heard about Prince William and Kate’s date nights, we have seen pictures of her walking with her children in the park, and we have seen her having family interactions as well. This is not to say that Kate does not have a close inner circle of friends. She definitely does. So, who are the members of Kate’s circle of friends, and who is her best friend?
What members of the royal family is Kate Middleton close with?
Of all the members of the royal family, Kate is extremely close to Prince William’s first cousin, Zara Tindall. The two have often been seen talking and laughing at royal events. It has even been said that Zara is the one who helped Kate navigate her way through royal life after she got married.
In addition, she has a lot in common with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, as neither of them had ties to royalty before marriage. Although there have been allegations of tension between Kate and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, those rumors have never actually been proven true, and the Duchess and the princesses are actually quite good friends.
Her relationship with Pippa Middleton Matthews
The Duchess has always had an excellent relationship with her sister, Pippa Middleton Matthews. Pippa famously served as her maid of honor in her 2011 wedding to Prince William. It is pretty safe to say that her flattering dress caught the eye of many.
Her sister has been seen visiting Kensington Palace on numerous occasions, and she has even been included in royal family events, such as the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Kate and Pippa Middleton were close friends during their childhood and teen years, and although Kate is one of the busiest working royals, their relationship remains as strong as ever.
Who are Kate’s closest friends?
Natasha Archer is a member of Kate’s inner circle. She is an employee of the royal family. but has come very tight with the duchess, spending significant time with her.
In addition, the Duchess has a strong relationship with her former secretary, Rebecca Priestley, as well as her hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker, and Sophie Carter, Charlotte’s godmother.
Trini Foyle is another important person in Kate’s life, having been a former schoolmate at Marlborough College where they both attended.
We certainly can’t forget James and Laura Meade, a couple who are extremely good friends with both Prince William and his lovely wife. The two couples have homes near each other in Norfolk and have known each other for years.
Who is Kate’s best friend?
With all of these wonderful people to support her, we can’t help but wonder exactly who her best friend is. It turns out that her relationship with Emilia Jardine-Paterson goes back to her school days, where they met, became close, and have been best friends ever since.
The interior designer is one of Prince George’s godparents, and she was one of the people in Kate’s life who was there to console her during her 2007 split from Prince William. Although we haven’t seen many if any at all, photographs of Emilia and Kate and about together, it is wonderful to know that they have such a great relationship. We are happy for the Duchess and her best friend Emilia and hope they remain friends forever.
