Doja Cat and SZA’s “Kiss Me More” Video Is Too Cool for This Planet

If you’re looking for the song of the summer, look no further than Doja Cat and SZA’s dreamy new collab. The duo released the bouncy new single, “Kiss Me More,” tonight, paired with a fantastical music video only their creative minds could pull off.

The visuals, directed by Warren Fu, are out of this world: An astronaut lands on a peachy and pink foreign planet, and as he explores the new territory, he finds Doja Cat and SZA regally posing as part of the terrain. But by the end of the video, they’ve lured him into their silky lair, captured him, and trapped him in a video game. It’s the perfect balance of sexy and fun you’d expect from the “Say So” rapper.

“Kiss Me More” couldn’t have come at a better time, delivering a bubbly rhythm and disco-inspired sounds at a time when we’re itching to go out, dance, and touch each other again. It’s the latest of Doja Cat’s fiery collab streak, following “Best Friend” with Saweetie and the “34+35” remix with Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion. The partnerships are tasty appetizers for the rapper’s upcoming album, Planet Her, due this summer. She and SZA discussed the new LP in an interview for V magazine earlier this year.

“It’s giving divine feminine,” Doja Cat said of the album title. She also teased more potential collaborations to come.

“It’s people that I respect and I’m extremely excited about having on the album and it’s a full-circle moment for me, basically. Just knowing that I have you on it is just sexy,” she told SZA. “It’s perfect. I feel confident. It doesn’t feel like something out of myself, you know? I feel like I’m doing what I want to do.”

Planet Her follows Doja Cat’s highly celebrated album, Hot Pink, which arrived in November 2019.
