Idris Elba’s wife share cooking tutorial after ‘purposely’ catching coronavirus

Idris Elba's wife has shared a cooking lesson on her Instagram after contracting coronavirus from her beau 'on purpose'.

Sabrina Dhowre Elba, 29, has been self-isolating with her actor husband for a week now.

Idris announced last week that he had tested positive for COVID-19, and his wife made the choice to stay with him and as a result, caught the virus herself.

Yesterday, she took to her Instagram to share a baking recipe with her 308k followers.

It's not her first cooking tutorial as the siren has already posted some videos of her recipes on social media.

This time she was baking a pineapple upside down cake.

Along with her hubby Idris, she took fans through the recipe and process step-by-step.

The final product looked deliciously tempting, and her followers certainly seemed to appreciate the video as they were cooking along too.

One follower shared a snap as they cooked along, writing on their picture: "Sabrina Elba got me baking pineapple upside down cake" with a smiling emoji.

Sabrina's cooking tutorial comes after the star 'purposefully' contracted coronavirus after her husband tested positive.

She recently revealed why she allowed herself to get COVID-19 after her husband confirmed he had it.

Sabrina confessed that she caught the virus from her beau on purpose, breaking the news during a live appearance on Oprah Talks.

Speaking to Oprah during a live stream on her new Apple TV+ series recently, Sabrina said: "Actually, I found out this morning, Oprah, that I tested positive.

"I'm not surprised, as soon as I heard that Idris was potentially exposed. I was on my way anyway and I wanted to be with him, I think that’s an instinct as a wife you just want to go and take care."

Sabrina continued to confess to Oprha that she purposely caught the virus and made the choice to not make any changes to her routine.

She said: "We didn’t change the way we interacted, I could have made a decision to put myself in a separate room or maybe stay away and I’m sure people are making those decisions, they’re tough decisions to make.

"I made the decision to want to be with him and still touch him."

Sabrina's hubby Idris added in the chat: "On the day of the exposure, we were together at home and had been together right until I had departed to fly so at any point then, and prior to us knowing, if I’d caught it, she’d certainly have caught it in that time period as well."
