The global chart-topper turned down the idea of a huge luxury mansion and has stayed in her modest childhood home in West Lothian, Scotland.

Susan has remained in the council house for her entire life, buying it for a reported £65,000 after her rise to fame, and has shown no intention of ever leaving her beloved childhood home.

The only hint of her global success is the fact the home given a glam renovation back in 2009 shortly after she lost out on the top spot to dance troupe Diversity.

She also invested in some more space, deciding to buy the semi-detached house next door for £111,000 so she could merge the properties together to make her dream home.

The savvy move allowed her to knock through the walls and turn the two properties into a plush six-bedroom house.

Inviting the cameras into her home in 2020, Subo showed OK! Magazine how she likes to keep things simple.

The next room she introduced was her piano room.

On the ground floor of the house, Susan's spare room boasts a black piano.

However, the Scottish star joked she is yet to be able to master playing it, despite clearly having an ear for a tune.

Susan laughed: "That’s a giggle for a start because I can’t even do scales!

"I'm only learning at the moment."

Upstairs Susan has her own dressing room.

The small room is filled with large mirrored wardrobes and a chair for her to perch on as she gets ready.

In the windowsill is an ornament which reads "Dream".

Pointing at it, the record breaking recording artist said: "That’s always my motto to keep to your dreams.

"Follow your dreams."

The room is decorated with photos from various achievements Susan has accomplished over the years, including meeting the Pope.
