Kate Silverton shows off body transformation on The One Show after losing 2st

Kate Silverton has firmly left her days as a newsreader at the BBC behind, and the gorgeous brunette showed off her body transformation on The One Show after losing an amazing two stone.

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant joined Alex Jones and Alex Scott on the BBC’s green sofa for a chat during Monday night's episode.

Looking fresh-faced and sporting a whole new cropped hairdo, Kate showed off her bouncy tresses in a pale blue polo neck jumper.

Keeping her outfit casual, the journalist also wore drop earrings and slim-fitting black trousers.

Completing the look with heels, Kate beamed as she explained how she’d managed to gain control of her fitness over the last year.

The nationwide lockdowns have been a real slog for everyone, but Kate discovered a way to keep healthy and lose weight in the process was through trampolining.

The fun sport is not often one talked about as a primary method of weight loss, but 50-year-old Kate did just that.

Vowing to not to allow her time at home to cause her to get unfit, the ex newsreader opted for the sport in a big to combat stress on her body.

The star took up rebounding, which is a low impact workout using a mini trampoline.

She also started doing Pilates and cycling.

During her time on The One Show, Kate also spoke about her new parenting book There’s No Such Thing As ‘Naughty’.

Referencing how she handled lockdown, the star previously said: "I was either going to put on two-and-a-half stone during lockdown or lose it, and I've lost it.
