Piers Morgan begs I’m A Celeb fans to vote for Kate Garraway in heartfelt post

Piers Morgan is rallying behind pal Kate Garraway , as she battles it out in the I'm A Celeb finals.

The 54-year-old took to Twitter and Instagram this morning to encourage his followers to vote for the GMB presenter.

In a rare display of affection, the controversial Good Morning Britain presenter praised her "lovely" and "genuine" personality.

Along with the heartfelt message, he shared a snap of the two, taken at a black tie event.

His message read: "Please vote for Kate to win I'm A Celebrity – she's a star on and off camera and a lovely, genuine person. So come on Britain, make her Queen of the Jungle!"

Underneath, Piers' followers weighed in on Kate's jungle debut, letting him know they'd be picking up the phone to vote.

One said: "Yeah, she should win because she's lovely!"

A second added: "The most beautiful lovely person to grace our TV screens."

While a third remarked: "I'm behind her all the way what a women she is!"

And a fourth chipped in: "I have to agree, the jungle process does show what the real characters and personalities are like, and Kate just appears to be the lovely person we see on TV."

After last night's elimination, viewers were devastated to see Nadine Coyle and Caitlyn Jenner head home.

Now that six have been reduced to just four, Kate is head-to-head with Jacqueline Jossa , Andy Whyment and Roman Kemp in the final.

Fingers crossed Piers' generous plug manages to bag a few more votes.
