Steve Irwin’s son astounds fans with lookalike photo copying dad’s famous pose

Steve Irwin's son Robert left some fans doing a double-take after he posed for a photo looking like the spitting image of his famous dad.

The 16-year-old animal enthusiast shared a photo of himself cuddling up to a koala – mirroring a famous snap of his wildlife legend dad.

In the heartwarming snap, the media personality held the adorable animal in his arms, snuggling up to it with a content smile on his face.

The photograph shows huge sentimental value as he's adopted the same pose as his late father did in a picture from years ago, when the Crocodile Hunter was still alive.

Robert shared the snap with his 1.9m followers on Instagram.

He captioned the sweet selfie with a red heart emoji and a koala emoji.

His devoted followers flocked to the heartfelt photograph, showering the star with praise.

One said: "You look so much like your father it’s unreal," with a heart emoji.

While another wrote: "You look exactly like ur father in this photo and you probably get that a lot."

Robert's heartfelt tribute to Steve comes nearly 14 years after he died.

Steve Irwin sadly passed away back in 2006.

He was killed in a tragic accident when a string-ray barb pierced his heart underwater, while the television star was filming with the creature.

Steve's wife Terri, along with his children Bindi and Robert continue their father's legacy at Australia Zoo.

They all continue their passionate work for the animals alongside Bindi's fiancé Chandler Powell.
