Strictly Come Dancing’s Tom Fletcher drops out of McFly gig

Tom Fletcher has been forced to pull out of McFly’s concert tonight after falling ‘unwell’, just hours after he made his debut on Strictly Come Dancing.

McFly was due to perform in Glasgow on Sunday evening alongside bandmates Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd and Danny Jones.

However, a message posted on the band’s official Twitter account announced that Tom would not be making an appearance.

It read: ‘Unfortunately Tom is unwell and won’t be onstage with us tonight in Glasgow. He sends huge and heartfelt apologies to all the fans he won’t see tonight.

‘The show will still be going ahead, we’re looking forward to seeing you all and need you guys to sing extra loud for us tonight.’

Tom added a short message himself, telling fans: ‘So, so sorry.’

The 36-year-old had made his first appearance on BBC One’s Strictly on Saturday evening, where he performed a Cha Cha to Earth, Wind and Fire’s September with dance partner Amy Dowden.
