The Untold Truth Of Ally Brooke – Nicki Swift

As an original member of the former group Fifth Harmony, Ally Brooke has maintained her career in entertainment since the musical quartet officially disbanded. Together, the group quickly rose to fame and achieved pop-star status after being formed in 2012 on Season 2 of Fox’s X Factor, All Music reported. After joining the music competition show as solo artists, Brooke — along with Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Camila Cabello — was selected by Simon Cowell to compete in the show’s “groups” category.

As a result, the five performers snagged two recording contracts and went on to release their debut album Reflection in 2015. The album made it to the top five spot on Billboard and made the group favorites on the pop charts at the time. In 2016, Fifth Harmony released their second album 7/27, named after the date Cowell grouped them together on X Factor. The album snagged the number four spot on Billboard and birthed the hit single “Work From Home,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign.

However, by the end of the year, the group was rocked when Cabello left to pursue a solo career. The four remaining members went on to release their third studio album Fifth Harmony, in 2017. But they decided to call it quits in March 2018 amid reports their record label Epic was focusing more on Cabello’s solo endeavors, The Sun reported. While others have remained in seclusion since the group’s end, Brooke has found ways to keep up her celebrity status.

Ally Brooke finds her own harmony

After Fifth Harmony broke up, Ally Brooke signed on to Season 28 of Dancing With The Stars. Though she didn’t win the competition, she did make it to third place with her pro partner Sasha Farber, as noted by Fandom. In 2019, Brooke returned to the music scene with her singles “Lips Don’t Lie,” “Higher,” “No Good,” and “Low Key.” Though they didn’t perform as well as her music with Fifth Harmony, the songs showed her determination to stay true to her art as a performer.

By October 2020, she began a promotional tour for her memoir Finding Your Harmony. In the book, she shocked her fans when she revealed she was still a virgin at the age of 27 and intended on saving herself for marriage, Daily Mail reported. “I opened up in my book about [saving myself for marriage]. I was brave to share that. That’s something that I hold dear to my heart. And I hold still to this day,” she shared while on the Hollywood Raw podcast.

After her book’s release, Brooke followed it up with the release of her Christmas single “Baby I’m Coming Home.” In December 2020, Brooke took to social media to thank fans for the song’s success during the holiday season. “It’s amazing to hear that so many of you love Baby I’m Coming Home and that it’s part of your Christmas. That’s a priceless gift to me. I love you guys so much,” she tweeted.
