Aljaž Škorjanec has been a firm favourite amongst Strictly Come Dancing fans since he joined the BBC series in 2013. The pro dancer lifted the Glitterball Trophy on his first year on the show with Abbey Clancy and new evidence compiled by Mediaworks has revealed he could be set to win again with Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies.

Strictly fans found out on Saturday that Sara has been partnered with Aljaž.

Sara met her partner for the first time at the Angel of the North.

She said: “So for me, this is just the perfect place. I wouldn’t want to be meeting my partner anywhere else.”

The Dragon’s Den star was thrilled with her pairing and explained how excited she was to get started.

“I cannot tell you how ridiculously beyond thrilled I am to have been paired with Aljaž,” she added.

Aljaž said: “I really love people who are committed and driven and Sara is a hard worker for sure.”

Using data from Twitter and Instagram, Mediaworks analysed the growth of the celebrities and dancers from last Monday up until the Strictly launch.

Mediaworks also tracked mentions of the celebrities and pro dancers through the seven days leading up to the launch and how that compared to the previous seven days.

Aljaž and Sara look to be Strictly’s most loved pairing after dancing together for the first time in the group number on Saturday.

Sara had the highest growth in media and social platform mentions featuring 1,560 times with a 168 percent increase.

Meanwhile, Aljaž had the highest growth among the dancers with an 83 percent increase in mentions.

Could their popularity prove to be a winning formula and lead to the pair lifting the Glitterball Trophy?
